The Early Days
When
ROV Ventana was
delivered by truck from International Submarine Engineering in 1988, the vehicle was
rolled into MBARI headquarters at 160 Central Avenue in Pacific Grove. At right, Patrick
Whaling (in blue shirt) helps with the move. Below, Chris Grech and Mark Chaffey stop to
figure out how best to maneuver the vehicle.
