- Abstract:
-
The R/V New Horizon had many meteorological instruments acquiring data
during MUSE. A Coastal Environmental WeatherPak took measurements of
air temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, wind speed and direction,
shortwave and longwave radiation. The Seabird SBE21 Thermosalinograph
was used to measure temperature and conductivity along with a WetLabs
WetStar fluorometer. A dual temperature unit is hull mounted to take sea
surface temperature measurements. In the Chart room there is a Pcode
Receiver and a Trimble Differential GPS. A Gyro Compass is located on
the Bridge.
