ESP Technology
These are some of the the technologies used by the ESP.
Core ESP
- Real-time application of DNA probe arrays for detection of organisms and their gene products in situ.
- Sample archiving
- Whole cell miscroscopy / FISH
- Nucleic acids (gene libraries)
- Phycotoxins
The ESP uses different real-time chemistries for detection. Two that are more commonly used are are sandwich hybridization assay (SHA) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA )
SHA or Sandwich Hybridization Assay |
ELISA or Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay |
External sampling modules
Modules for special sampling requirements
Analytical modules
Custom analytical devices, which require upstream sample collection and processing, will be fitted to the core ESP.
