2008 EARTH Workshops
There is only one EARTH workshop scheduled for 2008 and we are planning on a Monterey workshop in 2009 to coincide with the annual meeting of the National Marine Educators Association (NMEA).
The 2008 EARTH workshop is cosponsored by MBARI, the Center for Microbial Oceanography: Research and Educaton (C-MORE), and NASA Astrobiology Science and Technology for Exploring Planets (ASTEP).

way of thinking about the oceans
- Develop new curriculum that uses real science and near-real-time data
to teach science content and process and addresses their needs
and the needs of their students
- Be part of a program that integrates the use of
near-real-time data and real science into classrooms at a national level
- Experience a rich opportunity for professional collaboration
and receive classroom resources, and a modest stipend ($100/day). We ask that the participants arrange their own travel, reasonable costs will be reimbursed.
